As pageants go, they come in all shapes and forms. In Nigeria today they have Miss Nigeria, Miss Arewa, Miss Oduduwa, and all sorts in between, but till date not a single pageant has been dedicated to the peoples of the south east who as it is are undeniably the most beautiful people in the land.

Miss Biafra is long overdue. This has been overlooked because of the memories that came with the mention of the name Biafra. But for how long shall a people continue to be afraid to answer to their own name? Today is a different world. Biafra is not synonymous with shame, pain or even war. In fact it is totally wrong to use these words conjunctively in the same sentence with Biafra. Only detractors do that. Today we can proudly associate with our name, to be called Biafran and be proud of it. In the North they identify as Arewa even with their symbols, in the west they identify as children of Oduduwa, but south of the river Benue, the area which was formerly known as Biafran region, the people can now say the word BIAFRA and revel in the restoration of our lost identity. Today we proudly bring to you Miss Biafra! It is great to aspire to be the first crowned Queen of the Land. Well this is your chance. Be part of the making of this historical event.
